‘Nuptials’ does it for the bride

Four months have passed since the release of my ‘Carbonated’ CD. On its release, I spent numerous nights marketing the songs on internet sites, including free mp3 download sites, music for film and TV sites and wedding sites. Lately, I’ve been snowed under with work at my day job, which has given me little chance to market the CD, or start the next.

The web site which hosts http://seanfellowes.com keeps tracks of the number of visits, where people visited from and the songs that were played at the site. The clear winner in referrals is http:www.secretweddingsongs.com, followed by a bunch of other wedding sites. This has staggered me somewhat, and got me thinking, why the interest in a wedding procession song? It turns out that being male has severely restricted my ability to comprehend this, so I asked a number of female friends. The overwhelming responses were:

  • You have no idea Sean
  • Women take to their wedding as a project which rivals the construction of the Hoover Dam, Pyramids of Egypt and International Space Station.
  • The song to walk down the aisle is a project in itself. The selection is personal and sentimental
  • Weddings can take an inordinate amount of time to plan and organise.
‘Nuptials’ is by far the most downloaded song from the CD. If you’ve walked down the aisle to Nuptials, please write to me at sfellowes@gmail.com and tell me how it went.

If you’d like to take a listen to Nuptials, please visit http://seanfellowes.com. You can download the song for free, as well as the entire ‘Carbonated’ CD.
